Dermal filler dos and don'ts are sorted here by one question: does this need a call today, or can it wait for a normal appointment? Dermal fillers are also listed under the name soft tissue fillers, which is how the FDA soft tissue filler page files them. Read that page and Cleveland Clinic's dermal filler overview side by side. Where they leave something out, ask your clinician about it before you book.

Filler topics

Start with the area you are asking about. Each page below separates what to ask before treatment from what to raise afterward.

Three questions before any filler visit

Before any filler visit, write down three questions for your clinician. Which symptoms after treatment mean I should call you the same day? Which mean I should go to emergency care? What happens if I do not like the result? A clinician who answers these clearly before you sign anything is giving you the information you need to triage yourself later.

As an independent triage guide and not a clinic, this hub cannot judge what is happening to your own face, so take that question to the clinic that treated you. If it cannot wait, contact emergency services.
